Solar Homes LLC 

Solar Homes LLC is driven by the unwavering passion of Victor Zaderej, who has devoted himself to pushing the envelope of energy efficient building design to ever greater standards.  Zaderej is committed to finding economically sensible methods for improving the energy efficiency of the next phase in U.S. residential building.  Zaderej has a B.S. and M.S. from M.I.T., as well as an M.B.A. from Quinnipac University.  He continually immeres himself in current thinking regarding energy efficient building, including the German Passiv Haus standard or developments within the U.S. Department of Energy and then takes the learning and advances it further.

Kevin makes the Solar Homes LLC ideas come to fruition.  He has a B.S. in architectural studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  Having always known he wanted to be an architect, he started winning awards for his designs and efforts in high school.  In college, he served as President of the American Institute of Architecture Students and worked to establish Illinois' first Freedom by Design program, which helps individuals renovate homes to enable handicap accessibility.  After college, Kevin joined the architectural firm Cordogan Clark and worked on several commercial projects, from inception through construction.  

Not content to follow the strict architectural career path, Kevin was intrigued by the ideas Victor Zaderej was presenting for super energy efficient home designs:    

"Learning how to reduce the energy demand load in a building, in lieu of adding expensive and complicated 'extras' made sense to me...this awakened me to what 'green building' really should be."  says Kevin.   

In 2007, Kevin teamed with Victor Zaderej, and Solar Homes LLC was formed.  Kevin and Victor share equal passion for learning and improving residential home designs.  Kevin gains true career satisfaction from working individually with clients to bring their personal desires and ideas for a home into reality, also knowing that these homes are truly state-of-the-art in energy efficiency.
